Adelle Thomas, MS, CMHC

Adelle is a light hearted and adventurous person who loves to work with people of all ages. Adelle specializes in working with individuals with trauma, addiction and dependency, adoption, identity development, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. Her approach is attachment based, looking at ages and stages of development and considering how mind, body and spirit all contribute to overall wellbeing. She is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, has been trained in Relationship Trauma Repair.
Adelle has experience working with adolescents in a variety of settings from proctor homes, residential treatment, intensive and general outpatient and recovery management levels of treatment. She has done play therapy with toddler and elementary aged children, couples and family counseling, as well as working with aging adults. She has also run a number of specialty groups and enjoys presenting and teaching mental health concepts to the community.
Adelle believes that “challenges are what make this life interesting, and overcoming them is what makes this life meaningful” (-Josh Marine). She loves gardening, outdoor activities, traveling and experiencing new things – for a mind stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.
