The best therapy comes from feeling safe and connected to your therapist. This is especially important when you are healing from the effects of traumatic experiences. Trauma makes us live in fear of the past and future, brings all of the anxiety and shame up to the surface, and impacts our most meaningful relationships. Pain is interwoven into the human experience, and yet through the healing powers of connection we are uniquely positioned to not only challenge that pain, but grow from it. You are not alone and you do not have to face this beast alone.
I am trained in different trauma treatments for individuals and couples including Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavorial Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Please reach out if you have questions or want to know more about me or the therapy I do.
David Richo once said, "Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of ourselves." Please remember, that however you decide to move forward, you have already decided to seek help and this shows the deep investment you've made in yourself and in your healing.
