Families bring our greatest joy, and some of our hardest days

Families bring us our greatest joy. They can also bring pain, sorrow, and the kind of difficulty nobody saw coming. If you’re in one of those seasons right now, on your own, with a partner, or as a family, you don’t have to sort it out by yourself.

I work with individuals, couples, and families at Redwood Family Therapy in Saratoga Springs. My goal is to help you work through the challenges in front of you and build a healthier, more fulfilling life, and I love helping clients discover their potential.

Helping individuals and couples heal from trauma is the work I’m most passionate about. I bring empathy and my own life experience into the room, and for people who have been struggling to find answers and a path to recovery, I hope our work together can bring some hope back.

I also work with anxiety and depression, family conflict, life transitions, relationship issues, and addiction recovery. And I work with older adults, a stage of life that brings its own changes and its own questions.

I’m completing my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University, and I see clients under the supervision of Dr. Lance Dome, PhD, LMFT, the owner of Redwood Family Therapy. That training builds on a Master of Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, both from Brigham Young University.

Outside the office, I enjoy sports, traveling, music, and reading. I love spending time with my wife, our five children, and our grandchildren.

What working together looks like

You can come on your own, as a couple, or as a family.

If trauma is part of your story, you set the pace. The goal is to help you find answers and a path to recovery.

Because I’m completing my training, my work is supervised by Dr. Lance Dome, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and my sessions are offered at a lower rate than those with Redwood’s licensed therapists. That can make it easier to get started.

Education and credentials

  • Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, National University, in progress (expected July 2027)

Questions people ask before reaching out

Do you take insurance?

Redwood doesn’t bill insurance directly. We’re an out-of-network provider, which keeps you free to choose the therapist who’s the right fit and keeps the cost clear and known up front. Many plans do reimburse part of out-of-network care, and Redwood partners with Mentaya so you can check whether yours does.

What does it mean that you’re a therapist in training?

I’m completing my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University, and I expect to graduate in July 2027. While I complete my training, I see clients under the supervision of Dr. Lance Dome, PhD, LMFT, who owns Redwood and supports and reviews my work

Do sessions with you cost less?

Yes. Because I’m still completing my training, sessions with me are offered at a lower rate than sessions with Redwood’s licensed therapists. Reach out and we’ll share the current rate.

Can you help with trauma?

Yes. Helping individuals and couples heal from trauma is the part of this work I care about most. You set the pace.

Who do you work with?

Individuals, couples, and families throughout Utah County, including older adults. I can help with trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, family conflict, life transitions, relationship issues, and addiction recovery.

Ready when you are
