Courtney Connole, MFTI
Marriage & Family Therapist Intern
The experiences in my life have gifted me with compassion, empathy, and a greater perspective- they have molded me into a far better version of myself than I could have ever imagined. If anyone believes that change is possible, it is me. Life is full of the unexpected, and we aren't always equipped with the tools to meet each challenge that comes our way. It is my hope and desire to help you build upon your own experiences and expand the tools and resources you have internally and externally.
I specialize in working with couples, children, adolescents, and families. I am trained in Gottman Therapy, Discernment Counseling, and ART (trauma-based therapy). I have experience with play therapy, depression, and anxiety. I primarily use experiential and emotion-based therapy models to guide my sessions. I strive to help clients understand themselves and find support in their journey. I know that the journey to healing is not easy and how hard it can be to face our greatest fears. Thank you for having the courage to reach out. Whatever challenge you might be facing, I'm here to help in any way that I can.
I obtained my bachelor's degree in Family Life Studies at BYU and am finishing up my last semester at Utah State University for my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have interned as a family lawyer, worked in the foster care system, and managed a residency of freshman college students. Additionally, I have worked at USU Sorenson's Center of Clinical Excellence as a therapist since December of 2022.
I love the outdoors, playing sports, and have a great love for Ultimate Frisbee. I also love a good book, like to nerd out while playing board games, and enjoy playing the violin loudly. My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years, and we have 3 beautiful children whom we absolutely adore!
