Dr. Julia Jones, PhD, is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist specializing in stress, anxiety, and trauma. These concerns can manifest through mental, emotional, and physical outlets, and she addresses each aspect in her treatment. Julia especially enjoys working with couples and families with teens. She has experience helping clients with religious trauma, faith transitions, and other life transitions or grief.

Julia believes each person has within themselves the ability and strength not only to overcome challenges but to achieve wholeness. In session, Julia helps clients experience themselves and their relationships in new ways, finding acceptance and paths towards change. She offers practical strategies to manage anxiety and stress, providing space and support to explore self-imposed limitations and influences from the past and present. Julia uses experiential models including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and a mind-body approach to wellness. She also has formal training and certificates in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, and IFS Level 1 certification.

Julia earned her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Florida State University. Her research focused on stress in families and racial discrimination as a stressor. She collaborates with clients from their framework and enjoys working with people from all backgrounds, including being an ally for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families. Her clientele includes couples at all stages, families with teens, and individuals.
