Malinda is a compassionate individual who is willing to sit with individuals in their struggles and pain to enable them to reach their optimal level of health. She sees therapy as a valuable tool to help individuals overcome their limitations and reach an optimal level of mental health. She assists her clients in connecting with their inner strengths and seeing themselves differently and more clearly see their potential through a combination of compassion, insight, and utilizing the latest techniques in mental health treatment. She strives to create a safe space for kids and adults to come and be able to express themselves using art therapy, tapping into the creative part of the brain and helping kids and adults to see their true potential. She believes in helping the person as a whole to help them grow and heal.
Malinda has a Master's degree from Liberty University in Clinical and Mental Health, and has a BA in addiction and recovery. She is also working on her certificate to become certified in art therapy and play therapy and has a lot of experience therein. Malinda has experience working with women who have experienced trauma due to infidelity and the sexual addiction of their partners. She did her previous internship through Encircle, as well as Giant Step Preschool And Wasatch Behavioral health, working with kids 3-12 with Autism Spectrum Disorder doing ABA therapy and clinical work.
When she is not at work, Malinda loves being outdoors, rock climbing, and being a part of nature. Malinda loves to cook! Baking is her passion and it really helps to center her. She loves watching cheesy movies while drinking a warm cup of cocoa. She also loves learning and trying new things and is currently learning how to do pottery.
